Our story

Etchelle started with a bathroom shelf that had become embarrassing.

Six jars. Eye cream, lip balm, neck cream, hand salve, primer, moisturiser. Most of them half used, several of them past their date. All of them bought to solve the same problem from six different angles, and none of them used on the mornings that mattered, because on those mornings there was no time for six steps.

That is the whole reason this brand exists. Not a better cream. Fewer of them.

One format, chosen on purpose

A twist-up stick is not a gimmick. A balm in a stick has no water in it, so it needs no preservative system to stay stable, and it carries a higher concentration of oils and actives per gram than the same formula whipped into a cream. It goes exactly where you point it, which matters when the places that show age first are the eye corners, the smile lines and the neck, not the middle of your cheek.

It is also solid, which means it goes in hand luggage and survives a week in a hotel bathroom.

Why Jeju, and why fermented

Our base oils are grown and pressed on Jeju Island, then fermented before they go into the formula. Fermentation breaks the larger molecules down into smaller ones, so what is left sits closer to the size the skin barrier will actually let through. It is a slow, unglamorous step that most brands skip because it adds weeks to production.

PDRN, plainly

PDRN is polydeoxyribonucleotide, a DNA fragment derived from salmon. It has been used in Korean clinics for years in injectable form because it supports the skin's own repair process rather than sitting on top of it. Ours is topical, so it is gentler and slower than what a clinic does, and it belongs in a routine you keep, not a treatment you book.

Alongside it: a collagen complex, proteoglycan, and nothing else pretending to be a hero ingredient.

What we do not do

  • We do not launch a new product every quarter. The point was to own fewer things, and that has to apply to us too.
  • We do not claim medical results. This is a balm. It is not a prescription and it will not do what a dermatologist does.
  • We do not pay for reviews. Everything on our reviews page came from a customer who wrote to us first.

Where to find us

We are small, and we read our own email. If something arrives damaged, if the shade is wrong for you, or if you simply want to know whether it will sit under your foundation, write to us through the contact page and you will get an answer from a person.

Sixty days to change your mind, on every order.
